  We recently won a handgun at a charity event where my organization were corporate sponsors. we do not need or want the pistol but a co worker of mine wanted to give it to a family member. My wife contacts the store and is told that all she needs is her id , a bill of sale and person that we wanted to transfer the gun to. Once every one is there at the store and ready to do the transaction, the management decides that they wont release the handgun.
  The issue at hand is the fact that my wife has not established residency in NC and is a GA resident.
  At the end of the day we just want OUR property. We have a permit ready NC resident ready and willing to take ownership. We had a way forward until the store reneged at the last second.
  Emails have been sent via the store website and to the email listed on the website and NO response yet.
  This is not a difficult issue... just do the right thing and we can move on.
